The Insurance Sales Representative is responsible for selling various insurance products to members/policyholders and fostering relationships through providing excellent service. This position acts as an advocate for members/policyholders within the organization, providing them with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions and options. The role offers the opportunity for growth and development through gaining in-depth knowledge of the business and receiving mentorship from experienced senior leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct inbound and outbound calls daily to new and existing customers and leads to introduce insurance products, explain coverage options, and gather information about their insurance needs.
- Handle the day-to-day workflow of bound new business, renewals, customer service for members/policyholders including inbound phone inquiries, policy changes, billing information, cancellations, RCE, endorsement requests, etc.
- Review, analyze and resolve policy and coverage related concerns for members/policyholders, including identification of coverage gaps, additional exposures, and underwriting issues.
- Engage in consultative selling by asking probing questions to understand the customer's needs and tailor insurance solutions to meet their requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with members/policyholders, teammates, and carriers, fostering trust and loyalty through excellent communication and service.
- Provide accurate rate quotations and appropriate insurance coverage information to qualified prospects.
- Meet individual and team sales and service goals by successfully converting leads into insurance policy sales and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of these policies.
- Provide feedback to the team or management about customer responses, common objections, and suggestions for improving sales and service processes.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies while discussing insurance products and handling customer information.
- Stay abreast of the most current products and services offered by THIG.
- Conform to proper business etiquette and policies as prescribed by the company.
- Maintain knowledge of new methods, procedures as products and systems changes.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of property and casualty insurance industry experience strongly preferred (i.e. agency experience, marketing, underwriting, or claims).
Experience with underwriting and policy servicing preferred. Familiarity with state and laws, regulations, and guidelines and sound knowledge and understanding of the industry's best practices highly desirable.
LICENSES
2-20 Florida Agent License required within 30 days of hire.
