Summary
Assists Vice President of Risk Management in daily operation of department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Assists Vice President of Risk Management with placement and management of corporate insurance program.
• Assists Vice President of Risk Management with management of captive insurance program.
• Obtains insurance certificates on behalf of all Alberici owned entities related to the corporate insurance program.
• Provides oversight of and assistance with, as needed, subcontractor insurance compliance program through myCOI web-based program, including review of subcontractor/vendor Additional Insured endorsements.
• Reviews equipment rental agreements received, identifies insurance requirements and obtains evidence of insurance, as needed.
• Advises Employment Resources of insurance requirements for Personal Services Provider Agreements and confirms compliance with those insurance requirements.
• Produces internal invoices on behalf of Hillsdale Insurance Agency.
• Provides assistance, as needed, to Risk Management Project Coordinator with review of Owner contracts for identification of insurance requirements or agreements received from Legal Department and/or project staff for all Alberici enterprise entities.
• Provides support, as needed, to Risk Management Project Coordinator with project-specific insurance placements.
• Manages and coordinates agency / producer licensing.
• Assists Vice President of Risk Management with annual premium allocation, calculation of Workers’ Compensation rates, etc.
• Claims coordination of corporate insurance claims for certain lines of coverage (such as Property, Inland Marine, Builder’s Risk, Professional and Pollution, etc.)
• Other tasks or projects as assigned by the VP of Risk Management.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Risk Management.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or five (5) years related experience/training in construction insurance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence.
• Works with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Organizes and manages time, duties and activities efficiently.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
None required, however CISR, CIC or similar professional designation is preferred.
