The firm is looking to add a Litigation Attorney to their Myrtle Beach office. Attorneys with two or more years of civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply. Insurance defense experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be licensed to practice in South Carolina.

Are you a passionate, driven, and experienced attorney with a focus on Insurance Defense Litigation? We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our established and prestigious legal team. Our firm is renowned for its dedication to providing superior legal services in the insurance defense sector. This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their expertise in the field and contribute to our ongoing success.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney, your key duties will include:
1. Representing insurance companies and their policyholders in civil litigation matters.
2. Handling all aspects of insurance defense litigation from inception to resolution.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies.
4. Drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
5. Taking and defending depositions of parties and expert witnesses.
6. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
7. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, and making persuasive arguments.
8. Keeping clients informed of case progress and providing legal counsel as needed.
9. Collaborating with team members to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney position must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the South Carolina state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
4. Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
5. Exceptional knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.
6. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
