We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position plays a pivotal role in representing our clients in complex insurance coverage matters. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance industry, specifically in insurance defense. This role requires a strong strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills, who can handle high-stakes cases and make critical decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on complex insurance coverage matters, including policy interpretation, claim handling, and dispute resolution.
- Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery, pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
- Analyze and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage, identify potential coverage issues, and advise clients accordingly.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to protect clients' interests and achieve their objectives.
- Negotiate settlements, mediate disputes, and represent clients in arbitrations and trials.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on recent developments in insurance law and related areas.
- Engage in client development activities, including meetings, presentations, and networking events.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
- Comply with all legal standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney, specifically in insurance defense.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Proven track record of representing clients in complex insurance coverage matters.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret insurance policies, identify coverage issues, and provide sound legal advice.
- Proficient in legal research, with a thorough understanding of insurance law and related areas.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft and revise legal documents and articulate legal strategies clearly.
- High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle high-stakes cases, and make critical decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, other attorneys, and support staff.
- Willingness to stay updated on recent developments in the legal industry and adapt to changes.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and achieving clients' objectives.
