Insurance Account Assistant - CareerPaths NW

Our clients company specializes in providing a wide range of commercial, personal, and group & individual benefit lines of insurance. They are currently seeking an Account Assistant to join their team.

As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by efficiently and accurately processing service requests for our account management team and clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices and review/process endorsements
• Conduct policy checking and issue binders and ID cards
• Assist with prepping policies for delivery
• Maintain accurate policy and insured information in our agency management system
• Process requests such as certificates, endorsements, cancellations, and auto identification cards
• Order loss runs and gather necessary materials for the pre-renewal process
• Support Account Managers with tasks like policy checking and premium audits
• Establish and maintain relationships with carrier representatives, clients, and coworkers
• Respond to client and carrier requests via email, phone, electronic fax, and mail
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead and Account Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience as an assistant account manager preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
• Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and ability to communicate it clearly
• Current Oregon property and casualty license required
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Conduct internet research when needed
• Experience with Applied (preferred, but not mandatory)
