Instrumentation Technician - Boston Lab Services

About the team:

The Facilities and Lab Operations team supports all operational aspects of our Cambridge facility including infrastructure and Quality Control laboratories. This role will support our Cambridge facility Quality Control laboratory equipment making a strong background and experience with GMP necessary for this position.

How you’ll spend your time:

• This position will be primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance and support for bio analytical equipment used in the Quality Control laboratories
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of lab based equipment and instrumentation used in various capacities in a cGMP Quality Control environment.
• Maintains all records and documentation for laboratory equipment in order that users can take full advantage of their capabilities following all SOP’s and GDP processes.
• Accountable for the calibration delivery on all required instrument calibrations supporting analytical equipment used for bio labs.
• Perform routine calibrations and PM of instrumentation/equipment and/or oversee 3^rd party contractors/consultants ensuring calibrations/PM’s are executed on time and to the correct specifications.
• Utilize Blue Mountain RAM CMMS for all work management.
• Provide instrumentation consulting services to the operations, maintenance, engineering and customer groups as needed to assist each group with its daily function.
• In conjunction with Lab Operations support, coordinate services of 3^rd party vendors for equipment on contract and supported with time and materials.
• Identify “Out of Tolerance” conditions and perform corrective actions to return the device to within specification. Participate with investigating and documenting the potential impact that the “Out of Tolerance” condition may have had on the instrumentation and process.
• Maintain instruments, standards, and tools. Perform equipment inspection prior to and upon return from vendor certification and review associated documentation
• Assists supervision with the assigning, scheduling and prioritization of work order requests using maintenance management systems.
