Job Details
Position Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties relating to the electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control functions in the manufacturing process. Develop and maintain an instrumentation calibration program, in accordance with maintenance preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow directives of Maintenance Supervisor regarding daily tasks and long-term projects
- Use electrical and controls aptitude to repair a variety of hydraulic metal stamping presses.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment and small hand power tools, multimeters, amp meters, circuit testers and vacuum/ pressure gauges as required to troubleshoot system failures.
- Address underlying root cause of equipment defects to restore equipment functionality.
- Document and track all work, labor and parts usage through CMMS system.
- Connect and access PLC program software and effectively troubleshoot various issues.
- Adhere to and assist Operators, Technicians, Management and Engineering in following PM schedules.
- Read, interpret and follow basic, intermediate and complex blueprints and schematics.
- Install programs, inspects, troubleshoots, and adjusts electrical and mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and related information systems.
- Performs tests and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment; interprets readings and outputs of equipment; ensures proper functioning of equipment and related information systems.
- Reviews operator’s manuals and other established guidelines; ensures equipment and information systems are operated in accordance with established guidelines.
- Performs basic programming for utilities information systems; programs with ladder logic and relay logic; operates PLCs, RTUs and associated inputs/outputs; operates VFDs; performs telecommunications networking.
- Follows Lock Out Tag Out Procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ Years of Working Knowledge with electrical systems, low voltage, instrumentation and controls in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting various Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic systems.
- Previous experience utilizing CMMS system to track maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and within a team.
- Currently enrolled in an Industrial Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Maintenance or a related field
