About the Role
Our client, an industry leader with over 40 years of experience in environmental, nuclear, chemical, aerospace, and mining systems, seeks an Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical (IC&E) Engineer with a P.E. license. The IC&E Engineer will lead instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering efforts, focusing on design, optimization, and compliance. Projects cover air filtration and gas management, and the role offers a favorable work-life balance with many Fridays off.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize electrical components for industrial systems and create engineering drawings (DraftSight or AutoCAD).
- Develop and manage piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), single-line diagrams, and control logic.
- Conduct system calculations, establish testing requirements, and oversee equipment inspections.
- Develop project schedules and manpower requirements, and review technical submittals.
- Oversee compliance with Quality Assurance requirements and company policies.
- Support assembly, testing, and debugging during builds as necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field; 10+ years preferred.
- License: Current P.E. License in good standing, issued by a U.S. governing body.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, DraftSight/AutoCAD, and familiarity with NEC & NFPA codes.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with NQA-1, AS9100, and SolidWorks; experience in nuclear/aerospace projects is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in IC&E engineering, be proficient in CAD software, and be able to manage complex projects with minimal supervision. Prior experience with NQA-1 or government projects is highly desirable.
