Volt is immediately hiring for an Instrument Technician in Edwards AFB, CA.
Position Type: Full time Contract Duration: 12 Months As an Instrument Technician, you will:
• Support activities to plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
• Design systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
• Participate in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems
• Support the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities.
• Facilitate systems integration, fabrication, and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down.
• Conduct routine tests, analyses data and documents results.
• Troubleshoot and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems. The ideal candidate will have:
• Active DOD Secret Clearance.
• 5+ years of direct experience in testing, maintaining, modifying, and troubleshooting instruments related to Aerospace/Defense Field.
• Experience with basic hand tools and electronics (fluke meters, oscilloscope, soldering iron, etc. Pay Rate: $35-$38 per hour
