We are seeking an Equipment Specialist to join a growing start-up team, located in Fremont, California. In this role you will play a vital role, supporting the development of new and innovative instrumentation for the biopharma industry! Functions include: Complete instrument maintenance, rework, and prototype assembly. Conduct and document instrument experiments, QC and testing. Service of fluidic, electric, optic, and mechanical assemblies. Document observations, findings, and test results. Work with hardware engineers, software engineers, as well as system integration scientists to improve serviceability. Interface with contract manufacturer to bring-up instruments and transfer to NPI group. Assemble breadboards with engineers to test sub-assemblies. Perform instrument upgrades (e.g., mechanical and firmware) and preventative maintenance.
Skills and Experience include Associate degree or higher preferred
• 3-5 years' experience in instrument assembly, service, and/or testing.
Experience with fluidic, electric, optic, and/or mechanical instruments. Microscope, soldering, and LabVIEW skills a plus.
