Summary:
This position is located in the Driver Training Unit (DTU), Functional Training Operations Division (FTO), Office of Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC), Directorate of Training (DS/T), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Department of State (DOS),Blackstone, Virginia.
In this position you will serve as a Driving Instructor managing DS driver-training courses and will act as a technical expert in security/counterterrorist driving.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSCs do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience designing tactical driver training courses.
- Experience evaluating training courses and instructional materials to identify and recommend revisions.
- Experience establishing and maintaining liaison with security and law enforcement organizations.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
