Kachemak Bay Flying Service (KBFS) an Instructor Pilot 3100 and Flight Operations Manager to support our operations in Crestview, FL.
Description:
KBFS Crestview supports U.S. Department of Defense in various training venues. Through our air advisor operations training, we have a requirement for C208 Mission Instructor Pilot and Flight Operations Manager. This position reports directly to the contract Program Manager. The duty site is Crestview, FL. Training is normally conducted from Monday-Friday. Weather cancellations may alter that schedule. Job requires presentation of a neat and well-groomed appearance, effective oral and written communications skills, and ability to demonstrate aircraft skills and expertise to meet all technical support requirements with professionalism.
Experience:
- Cessna 208 Mission Instructor Pilot and Flight Operations Manager must have prior military U-28 or PC-12, Cessna 208, King Air, T-6, (C-208 experience preferred) or equivalent experience and be a military or civilian instructor pilot within the past 10 years.
- Must have 1,000 hours of experience in turbine aircraft and 10 years' minimum military flight experience.
- Must have served as an Evaluator Pilot (EP) for a military flight program.
- Further, contractor must be a graduate of a military aviation tactics training school to include Top Gun, USAF Weapons School or MAWTS-1.
- Must have previous experience managing flight operations. It is highly desirable that the contractor have had leadership experience within military flight safety programs.
- It is highly desirable that the contractor have a working understanding of special mission tasks, including Aerial Interceptions, Maritime Interdiction, Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC), Air Drop (Including Low Cost- Low Altitude), Video Downlink (VDL), Tactical Communications, Static & Dynamic ISR, Joint Operations, Tactical Departures and Approaches.
- Low Level/Very Low Level Operations, Substandard Field/Engine Running On/Offload (ERO) and Short-field landings/takeoffs.
- NVG experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience).
- Must possess a minimum of 10 years military aviation experience with a minimum of 1,000 hours in turbine aircraft.
- Must be FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or FAA Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII), or military equivalent.
- Must be current or former Evaluator Pilot (EP) in a military flying program.
- Must have previous flight operations management experience. Must be a graduate of a military aviation tactics training school to include Top Gun, USAF Weapons School or MAWTS-1.
