Instructor of English - Cameron University

POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages at Cameron University invites applications for a full-time Instructor to teach freshman composition beginning August, 2025 or as early as January, 2025. Specific teaching responsibilities include teaching traditional, hybrid, synchronous video, and online coursework in Composition. Course load is 15 hours per semester.The position is not tenure track but can be renewed and continued each year. Successful candidates will have experience teaching basic skills and composition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in English or closely related field with 12 hours of graduate study in English required; relevant teaching experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s in English and two years of college or university teaching experience.

SALARY RANGE:

Commensurate with education and experience.
