About the Job
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
• Develop, maintain, and teach Air Force Civilian Housing Management course material in residence, on site, and via Distance Learning (DL) modes.
• Coordinate course offerings, document courses in accordance with Air Force and AFIT policies and conduct post-offering assessments.
• Required to interact with various course sponsors to determine education needs to develop, maintain, and instruct course content appropriately.
• Instruct in various settings which may include traditional classroom settings and distance learning and may be required to travel to different sites to instruct or develop curriculum.
• Consult or advise as the subject matter expert in Air Force civilian housing management, housing referral and relocation management.
• Participate in consultation efforts, and attend or participate in workshops, conferences, technical interchanges or similar venues as directed by the Government.
• Deliver courseware in civil engineering subject matter and related business information systems in both live and distance learning environments to include Temporary Duty (TDY) locations.
• Examples of subject matter will include: BUILDER, PAVER, TRIRIGA, housing management, cost estimating, funds management, and cultural resources management.
Additional subject matter and related business information systems may be required as the career field evolves.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
• Clearance: Must have and maintain eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC), including favorable completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
• Have at least 15 years applied experience in Air Force civil engineering processes; and a relevant master's degree in engineering or related field.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Air Force Enterprise Military Family Housing, Unaccompanied Housing, and Privatized Housing processes, procedures, and techniques.
• Proficiency in Air Force civil engineering housing processes, procedures, and techniques
• Working Knowledge of AFI 32-6000 and DoD 4165.63-M
• Ability to perform effectiv e oral and written communication to students in a classroom, teaching environment
• Experience teaching professional continuing education courses
• Experience teaching professional continuing education courses Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• May be required to lift 15 lbs.
• May be required to stand and walk two (2) hours a day
• Some travel may be required
