The role you’ll contribute:
The Senior Instructional Designer (Sr. ID) will lead planning, designing and developing a variety of learning methods to create an effective learning delivery using adult learning theory, assessment and game theory as it applies to learning for initiatives supported within the Organizational Readiness (OR) team. The Sr. ID will ensure that training activities reflect good practices in instructional design using adult learning theory, assessment and various educational technologies, including face-to-face delivery, action learning, course platforms, e-learning courses, videos, virtual Instructor-Led training (vILT), and other learning products. The Sr. ID functions as a consultant with internal stakeholders to recommend learning solutions, manage and create instructional design training materials, collaborating with partners across the enterprise, and designing and developing learning solutions. This position plays a key role in mentoring the instructional design and delivery team members to ensure alignment to development/design standards. This position will develop and maintain course curriculum as needed for each initiative supported by OR. The position will also manage mid to large-scale instructional design initiatives supported by OR.

+ Develop course outlines, documentation, assessment strategies and maintain instructional design direction and development though all phases.
+ Apply effective learning methodologies to analyze and evaluate the integrity and audience appropriateness of instructional approach, materials and intended delivery methodology.
+ Conduct learning assessments to determine the most effective learning activities and course designs that align with organizational goals, strategies, and competencies.
+ Conduct needs analysis to assess and or diagnose the appropriate learning solution following industry appropriate models.
+ Provide direction and leadership in concept development; analyze needs, tasks, learning environment and develop learning objectives and requirements.
+ Design curriculum for face-to-face and virtual learning sessions using creative, innovative, and evidence-based approaches; develops storyboards for e-learning and videos
+ Develop dynamic, experiential learning session designs, including macro designs based on content, and training scripts.
+ Create complex custom graphic animations including developing concepts and storyboards with SMEs or Instructional Designers for some products.
+ Filter incoming training and learning requests, scope the project, create a delivery timeline and work collaboratively to determine the best method for delivering the training
+ Facilitate (ILT, webinars, VILT, etc.) learning solutions.
+ Utilize virtual and web-based solutions (tools; resources) fostering the development of online based learning programs. (RISE; Storyline, etc.)
+ Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to bring expertise to design, develop and implement courses and other instructional resources.
+ Employ assessment and evaluative instruments ensuring the measurement of impact using industry standard criteria such as Kirkpatrick Model.
+ Actively research best practice learning organizations and processes to understand emerging trends, tools and processes in learning; work to incorporate those trends, tools and processes; Inform/communicate to team members on these trends that align with business needs and strategies, as well as diverse needs of learners within the organization.
+ Through effective communication and interpersonal skills, provides mentoring to team members on blended learning techniques and approaches, instructional design processes and tools used (authoring software, e-learning standards, training tool use, LMS use, evaluation, etc.) in order to support an interactive learning experience to best meet learning objectives and target audience.
+ Ensure training environments are available to support development of related training. Perform quality test for courses, materials, exercises and related data to ensure effectiveness for learning participants and update materials, (presentations, QRGs, CBL content, and/or simulations) accordingly.
+ Administrative tasks (updating project plans, status reports, maintenance of learning solutions, pulling reports, etc.)
+ Role may require up to 25% travel throughout year.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology or related field
+ 5 years of experience in instructional design, developing and delivering learning methodologies
+ Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite OR strong working knowledge authoring tools, web technologies and graphic design
+ Experience with educational technologies such as: Canvas, Creative Cloud, Articulate Storyline and Camtasia or similar technologies.
+ Advanced knowledge of the principles of learning including adult learning, learning styles theory, participatory methods, instructional design, whole systems design and related topics
+ Knowledge of eLearning standards, Instructional Design theories (e.g., Quality Rubrics and Standards, ADDIE model, and Agile Methodology)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
+ Master’s Degree in in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology or related field.
+ 8 years’ experience in instructional design, developing and delivering training
+ 1 years in Organizational Change Management, Organizational Development or related field
