Responsibilities
The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Institutional Manager is responsible for the oversight, administration, and management of all ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs at Mercy San Juan Medical Center. This position serves as a key member of the GME educational leadership team, reporting directly to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and working closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to support GME program growth and compliance.
The GME Institutional Manager ensures that all residency and fellowship programs operate in accordance with ACGME standards, institutional policies, and applicable regulations. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to maintain accreditation, foster program growth, and enhance educational outcomes.
The manager serves as a liaison among faculty, residents, hospital administration, and external partners while promoting the Mission and Values of Mercy San Juan Medical Center.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, with significant work experience in GME or academic program administration considered.
+ Minimum of one year of experience in institutional coordination or administration related to ACGME requirements.
+ Preferred: Three years of experience in an academic setting coordinating residency or fellowship programs.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:
+ Expertise in ACGME accreditation standards and institutional requirements.
+ Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in using residency management software and data systems.
+ High level of integrity, tact, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Pay Range
$36.96 - $53.60 /hour
