Position Summary
Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) business provides consulting services and solutions to institutional investors, including corporations, foundations, endowments, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, insurer, and Taft-Hartley funds. We work directly with Financial Advisors/Consultants and other key partners across the Firm to drive asset growth. As part of the ICS Communications team, the Strategic RFP writer will play a critical role in the quality of our RFP responses, building strong working relationships with Financial Advisors, Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support our business goals to win, expand and retain business.
Responsibilities Include
- Helping to respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to drive AUM growth
- Writing RFP response documents, including cover letters and executive summaries
- Collaborating with SMEs to address key questions and articulate our value proposition
- Working with SMEs to make sure information is updated as enhancements occur
- Updating standard RFP responses library and resource templates available to field consultants
- Ensuring that responses follow brand style and tone guidelines
- Ensuring that appropriate reviews and approvals are secured by set deadlines
- Supporting institutional sales across client segments
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing background, with experience preferred in the RFP/RFI space and/or financial services
- Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders
- Results-driven and passionate about contributing to the firm’s growth
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-10 years of experience preferred
- Proficiency in RFP response software (e.g. Loopio) is a plus
Expected base pay rate for the role will be between $110,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short- and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.
