Job Summary: Assists with managing and coordinating all education and research programs and projects requested by various members of the Institute Leadership Team. Responsibilities include: coordination, implementation, tracking and data analysis . This position participates in and supports the Education/Training, Government, Corporate and Philanthropy activities.
Essential Functions:
- Provides program support for biweekly new hire orientation and other ongoing/special projects, inclusive of tracking attendance and evaluation data, fielding technical difficulties and making adjustments as needed.
- Documents key business unit processes, assists in identifying business unit improvement and opportunities, and provides information to Director of Education.
- Upon request, recommends initiatives to best support the education, research and innovation needs of the NorthStar Care Community.
- For approved projects, participates as a resource in the design of system requirements and functions. Assists with development, design, and administration of special projects as requested.
- Assists with maintenance of the NorthStar Care Community Institute databases.
- Assists with data entry, data cleaning, and support of Education and Research-related activities.
- Provides Institute user support when required. Works to effectively address questions and issues.
- Collects, and compiles data statistics for external/internal reporting purposes.
- Assists the NorthStar Care Community Institute staff as needed with compliance of data and communication systems with regulatory requirements.
- Assists in analyzing data to evaluate the quality of services and utilization of resources.
- Participates in meetings at the individual, group and organizational levels, both within and external to the organization, with ease and comfort to achieve desired outcomes.
- Works collaboratively with department members to define system requirements; implements necessary changes or communicates these needs to the appropriate party/parties. Creates ad-hoc reports when necessary.
- Provides administrative support to the Institute Director
- Provides assistance to NorthStar Care Community Institute staff members regarding proper data input procedures, development of reports and solutions to identified problems, and recommends automation of additional operations and functions as appropriate.
- Adjusts to changes in workload and schedules based on changing departmental and organizational priorities.
- Adheres to organizational Code of Conduct policies and procedures and all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Adheres to the NorthStar standards to care for every person, every time, 100% of the time.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED required.
- Business/office operations experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Must be familiar and have operational knowledge of standard office business machines, such as (but not limited to) the following: networked computer and keyboard; multi-line phone sets; copy machine; typewriter or word processing equipment; facsimile machine.
- Ability to effectively use technology in support of management and clinical operations.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently and be able to communicate orally and in writing in internal and external relationships for all essential job functions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands. Demonstrates integrity and flexibility and participates actively in charge and quality improvement initiatives.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective organizational, prioritization and follow-through skills, attention to detail, tact, dependability, emotional intelligence and the ability to promote positive, constructive relationships with communication and collaboration at all levels with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- The physical and sensory demands of the position include vision, effective speech and hearing for extensive telephone contact; repetitive motion; traveling; driving or riding in motor vehicle; standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, and stretching; lifting up to twenty five (25) pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel and maintain the rigors of a busy schedule. Frequently works variable hours/days; activities and workload may require extended days.
