Intelligent Video Solutions (IVS) is growing and adding entry-level Install Technicians to our team! This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing, innovative, emerging technology company. We provide innovative solutions that improve the lives of those who are served by Higher Education, Healthcare, Government and Corporate organizations.
An Install Technician will install network surveillance cameras & equipment with unsurpassed precision while representing IVS in the field. The Technician will drive or fly to install cameras & audio, program software, and conduct customer training. You will travel nationally about 75% of the time. While in the office, the Technician is responsible for picking orders, configuring servers, testing cameras & audio (approx 25% of the time).
No experience? No Problem! IVS provides hands-on training in a simulated environment with relevant hardware, webinars, and training videos.
We also provide advanced training career development opportunities on network programming and diagnosis, and help you achieve industry-leading certifications. Once training is complete, you will hold the following certifications: Axis N.V.F, BiAamp Tesira Forte, Shure Audio, RDL Audio among other opportunities.
Travel Requirements: 90% domestic 10% local. The amount of travel varies but you can expect to be in the field 2-3 weeks a month on average. You must love to travel to new places, be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and dedicated to producing the highest quality projects. You'll be working in commercial buildings, mostly indoors, in anything from a casual business to sensitive government facilities.
Starting Pay: This job is hourly with a job bonus opportunity. Average first-year compensation is $60K with opportunities for incremental increases.
Here is what you need to excel in this role:
Providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after the project is paramount. The most important skill is to have a positive, calm, engaging, and confident attitude even in the most challenging situations. Knowledge of low voltage cabling, IP video cameras, network technologies, and knowledge of Linux helpful. Prior experience providing superior customer service. You'll also need physical dexterity to handle power tools, climb ladders and lift up to 50lbs.
