As a Quality Inspector, you’ll have the responsibility of performing in-process inspections and tests, identifying faults, performing audits, assisting as back-up in final inspections, and other.
What you'll do:
- Performing in-process inspections and tests, identifying faults, and recording complaints. Assisting as back-up in final inspection and release processes.
- Performing internal audits of processes, external audit prep assistance, desktop audit assistance
- Specification revision updates, implementing quality control procedure change requests, updating existing procedures to standardized format as directed by the QM
- Assist with initial and annual training proficiency
- Keeping track of customer feedback
- Adhering to specification requirements
- Communicating QA issues to employees and managers
- Supporting manufacturing through process improvements
- Ensures compliance to the applicable quality procedures affecting the production process.
- Assists in troubleshooting technical problems.
- Participates in continuous improvement processes.
- Performs other functions as assigned
- Cross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.
- Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
- Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Qualified in the detail inspection function.
- Knowledgeable in aerospace and MRO compliance
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Proficient in dimensional inspection techniques.
- Knowledgeable on the documentation completion requirements.
- Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems.
- Knowledgeable in the quality requirements relating to the production process.
- Proficient in decision making to ensure compliance to all customer, regulatory and company requirements.
- Proficient in communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
- Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods.
