Redhorse Corporation is looking for a Insider Threat Security Specialist to join a team of specialized professionals providing comprehensive security support services, including expert functional, technical, and administrative security support to manage and execute a broad security program for the Security Directorate of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy OUSD(P). The work location for this role is at the Pentagon, with periodic need for travel to the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. This role requires full-time onsite presence, with virtual work or teleworking possible on an as-needed basis with prior approval from the client.
Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, implement, execute, and administer security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Analyze and process Governmental and contractor requests.
- Maintain data repositories.
- Conduct security indoctrinations and debriefings.
- Develop and document security classification guidance through the form of training resources.
- Execute an operations security program.
- Execute an insider threat program.
- Execute general security administration asks identifying and instituting innovative solutions for organizational challenges.
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials include:
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance, with current eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) (TS/SCI). Applicants who do not posses a current and active TS/SCI security clearance will not be considered for this role.
- US Citizenship is required for this role.
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in the Insider Threat security functional area.
- Completed security training from the Cognizant Security Authority (CSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE), within the past three (3) years as part of their professional development.
- Familiarity with the latest policies, processes, and procedures for the Insider Threat security discipline.
Additional Preferred Skills, Experience, Education, and Credential include:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 5 additional years of relevant experience with an associate degree or 7 additional years of relevant experience with no degree.
- At least five (5) years combined Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, or Service-level security experience.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating with the Department of Defense (DoD) services and components to resolve complex security policy issues.
- Demonstrated ability to digest large volumes of complex data, conduct detailed process mapping and communicate and formally document findings and recommendations.
- Expertise in policy development; drafting, formatting, tracking, staffing, reviewing and reconciling inputs to DoD Directive(s), Instruction(s), Manual(s) and other publications; as well as reviewing other policy documents for personnel security equities.
- Excellent writing and project management skills is highly desired.
- Experience with handling classified correspondence, expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools, knowledge of government and best business practices, and experience in writing, editing, and managing executive correspondence.
