As a “Sales Specialist,” you will play a key role in creating positive experiences for all customers, whether direct or indirect. By leveraging the resources available at Radius “U,” the construction division, and your own knowledge of the Radius sales department, you will drive personal growth, develop customer solutions, and strengthen industry relationships, helping to maintain Radius's competitive edge in the HDD industry. You will focus on maximizing your industry expertise within your assigned region, developing strategies to enhance market awareness, and collaborating with the sales manager to capitalize on these opportunities.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- Embody company culture and maintain high sales team enthusiasm and morale
- Strong commitment to “beyond the sale” customer service such as follow-up calls, return support, product information. Your role in the process carries through to deliver, support and payment.
- Assist in the collection of past due invoices.
- Operate as part of a collective sales effort. Taking calls from other regions and supporting other salesmen when necessary.
- Assist in identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being aware of new products and competition.
- Own regional calling, reporting and strategy to achieve company revenue and margin goals
- Work with sales manager developing monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and revenue.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by delivering sales and customer support to customer base. .
- Usage of CRM is critical and must be maintained thru data management, collection and updating
- Follow sales processes and involvement within such processes properly and share improvement ideas
- Assist in developing strategic relationships within the Ditch Witch dealer network
- Occasionally attend tradeshows and relevant industry events to promote Radius to develop customer relationships.
Other Job-Related Components:
- The Radius sales team makes themselves available in some way 24/7. Every member of the sales team must agree and commit to share some responsibility of after-hours and weekend coverage.
- This role works the majority Mon-Friday.
- Office, shop & jobsite environment. Position can be onsite, hybrid or remote. #LI-
- The shop environment includes physical hazards such as powered vehicle and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery.
- HDD offices, Shops, Yards and Jobsites – Heavy equipment and jobsite hazards are present.
- Occasional land & air travel.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- 3+ years of sales experience or HDD related experience (preferably HDD Tooling).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred.
- Stable work record with self-motivation, productivity, reliable attendance, and attention to quality.
- Strong phone, communication, and negotiating skills; ability to build rapport.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP software.
- Technical aptitude to explain and demonstrate products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
- Strong selling skills and customer focus.
- Good computer operational skills and willingness to use future technologies.
- Commitment to personal and sales development; results-driven and energetic.
- Familiarity with Radius HDD products and ability to present technical information effectively.
- Maintain a current vehicle operator’s license.
