Overview
The Inside Sales and CPU Representative (ISR) provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers by understanding Axalta offerings, effectively processing orders, and transacting end-to-end CPU processes (revenue recognition, cost analysis, inventory reconciliation, performance analysis, reporting). The position will have a strong interface with the customer business teams and finance to drive results and accuracy.
The ISR is to provide support to the entire supply chain and must ensure that invoices are processed daily, perform the Cost Per Unit billing process, understand customer builds and pricing to ensure revenue is properly recorded according to shipments and reports available in SAP.
The ISR must exhibit a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and passion for excellence professionally and effectively with customers and many different functional groups.
Responsibilities
- Establish sound business relationships with internal and external customers by consistently delivering professional, quality service that is superior to the competition.
- Monitor shipment status and take appropriate action where necessary e.g. expediting, tracing, etc. Establish resources to involve in ensuring commitments to customers are met.
- Process customer orders and returns, credits and debits through appropriate system and ensuring customer ship dates meet customer needs consistent with the schedule and work with planning team on day-to-day issues.
- Meeting month end deadlines collecting data from site teams to process and calculate monthly accrual while meeting PWC/Audit requirements. (Audit requirements are a big part of this)
- Adjusting inventory and processing billings for obsolete and incident reports. Receiving remittance/retros from customer and reconciling credit/debits using price and build data.
- Understand and respond to metrics focused on driving continuous improvement of the process.
- Stay highly organized and set priorities for a demanding, diverse business workload
- Work effectively in a dynamic team environment and be flexible to take on tasks when required by the team/management
- Coordinate and participate with customer visits as needed by the business.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, auditing, consulting or accounting desired
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline is required
- Experience with SAP in a production environment required.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and corporate finance
- Exceptional financial acumen including strong analytical, financial modelling, budgeting, and understanding forecasts
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, able to achieve high impact
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization
- Experience working for a leading global manufacturing business, in a public company or private equity backed company environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous auditing experience a plus but not required
- Experience with Business Warehouse and Microsoft Business Intelligence a plus
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative), negotiation skills, and effective complaint resolution a plus.
