Inside Sales Representative - Zekelman Industries

Responsibilities:  

• A complete understanding of Wheatland’s capabilities and product offerings, with the ability to promote new sales initiatives.
• Develop and manage superior customer relationships through open and interactive communication.
• Daily review of customer backlog, proactively solving potential customer service issues.
• Prepare and process quotes, enter orders, and coordinate shipments.
• Build and maintain effective and professional interdepartmental relationships – team approach to customer service.
• Work with the outside sales team on gathering and triagulating market intelligence.
• Identify opportunities for improving the customer experience and capable of carrying out action items and potential solutions.
• Analyze Wheatland’s pricing & market strategy and drive action to achieve objectives.
• Participate & contribute on regular conference calls – both internal and external.
• Coordinate a response on quality claims.
• Assist management with special projects as required.
• Provide back-up for other inside sales representatives.
• Project professionalism in representing the organization, internally and externally.
• Regular and predictable, full-time, onsite attendance during scheduled hours.

Qualifications:  

• Excellent customer service and communication skills - verbal and written.
• Curiosity to constantly learn more about the business.
• Driven, articulate, energetic, personable, accountable, and a team player.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and prioritize multiple tasks amid dynamic timelines.   
• Excellent mathematical aptitude and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Prior sales experience in manufacturing or industrial sales is preferred. 
• Experience in SAP is a plus.
• Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
