This position is responsible for generating revenue utilizing a consultative selling approach in the sale of Boyd services to small/medium business segment customers in an assigned territory/segment. This is accomplished through proactive outbound phone calls to prospect and existing accounts while up-selling and cross-selling new products and/or services to achieve sales goals and increase customer experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or equivalent industry experience Sales/Marketing preferred
- Ability to climb on and inspect equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Ability to travel with overnight stays
- Ability to operate a PC (Windows, Excel, & Word)
- Possess a valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify and establish contact with potential customers proactively through outbound phone calls
- Assist to identify the opportunities for upcoming products/services, and for development and enhancement of existing products/services
- Effectively manage prospects by maintaining contact with new and existing customers to advertise product sales and maintaining key information in the CRM
- Ensure effective internal communication between inside and outside sales and across the organization
- Monitor and report potential collaborator and competitor activities and identify business opportunities
- Maintain all assigned customer information, including ownership, personnel changes or assignments
- Match Company services with customer needs by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing and competition; effectively communicating pricing and service strategies; proactively engaging other Company business opportunities, referring internally as appropriate
- Develop sales strategies to drive growth in assigned area; negotiate the agreement terms and close sales
- Meet or exceed quarterly/annual sales targets
- Effectively use the Company ERP system tools (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics AX CRM, Manufacturer Pricing/Value Tools, etc.)
- Recommend to manager ideas to improve the department’s operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
- Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
- Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
- Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
