The Inside Account Representative will be responsible for generating leads, proactively managing key accounts, and driving accelerated sales growth.
Essential Functions
- Sales Goals: Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the sales manager
- Account Management: Proactively nurture and assist with the management of key customer accounts to ensure sales are optimized and upsell opportunities are routinely communicated
- Identify Sales Opportunities: Proactively seek out new sales opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and lead generation activities
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions to them
- Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our products and programs and effectively communicate their benefits to customers
- Sales Presentations: Conduct remote/virtual sales presentations to potential customers, highlighting key features and advantages
- Sales Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions in the CRM systems
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, marketing, customer success and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Market Feedback: Gather and report customer feedback and market trends to help improve products and services
- Sales Analytics and Reporting: Utilize reporting and forecasting systems to ensure sales planning is accurate and timely
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years proven experience and expertise in inside sales, preferably in the building materials or construction industry
- Must have track record of routinely achieving/exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers in order to proactively obtain new and/or replenishment orders
- Must be highly proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with sales analytics (reporting) and forecasting fundamentals
- Comfortable and thrives in fast paced and multi-tasking environments
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
