At Bull Moose Tube, our sales team is the engine that drives our organization. We're seeking a qualified Inside Sales Representative to help us sell the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on. The Inside Sales Representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process, a compelling phone presence, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to sell our offerings in a compelling way.
SUMMARY: An important contributor to a sales strategy that seeks commercial excellence and prioritizes sales growth and maximization and premium customer service. Is a liaison between customers and a variety of internal business units (operations, quality, logistics, credit, etc.). Responds to customer quotes in a manner consistent with business objectives and enters customer orders. Monitors the progress of customer orders and communicates to the customer any updates, issues or delays. Advocates internally for the customer to anticipate issues, minimize disruption and ensure customer expectations are satisfied. Receives from customers issues, complaints or problems and is the initial point person to begin the process of resolution. Monitors inventory levels to anticipate availability issues, contribute to warehouse efficiency, achieve sales objectives and maximize shipments. Develops strong customer relationships to ensure a positive customer experience and capitalize on sales opportunities. Collects and shares internally customer, market, and industry information and intelligence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands established business objectives and how inside sales contributes to the achievement of those business objectives.
- Understands the roles of internal business units (operations, quality, logistics, credit, etc.) and works and collaborates with those units to enhance the customer experience.
- Provides to customers requested quotes in a manner that is consistent with established objectives related to timeliness, pricing, terms, and otherwise.
- Enters customer orders accurately, timely and consistent with customer and business requirements.
- Collaborates and coordinates with internal business units to monitor the status and progress of customer orders. Anticipates issues and possible delays and works to resolve those issues.
- Receives customer issues, complaints, or other problems and works to diffuse and manage them. Ensures those that can contribute to resolution are included in efforts to achieve resolution.
- Maintains awareness of material inventory levels and issues to capitalize on opportunities to reduce inventory levels --- aged, overrun, canceled order, customer-specific, or on-hold inventory. Identifies material ready to ship and leads the effort to remove impediments to ensure ready material ships.
- Anticipates inventory and material availability issues, communicates same, and begins to problem solve when appropriate.
- Develops strong and enduring customer relationships through clear, timely, and effective communication; accurate information; and necessary and timely follow-up internally and externally.
- Identifies, and when appropriate, capitalizes on customer sales opportunities by initiating inquiries, sharing information, or otherwise.
- Seeks and collects customer, market, and industry information and institutionalizes that information whenever possible.
- When appropriate, identifies opportunities for improvement to the customer experience, internal business processes, or otherwise.
- Other duties as periodically assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of account management, inside sales or customer service experience, is preferred
- College degree preferred
- Excellent math skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize ERP software (JDE, PSData)
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize CRM software (Salesforce)
