About You
The person we are looking for will be a team player with a high level of communication and the ability to build relationships across various departments. You will be responsible for providing prompt and high-level customer service while ensuring accuracy.
Position Snapshot
An Inside Sales Representative is commonly expected to know how to read and understand drawings and spreadsheets and have high accuracy math skills. To be successful in this role you will:
- Communicate daily to update inquiries, lead times, orders, deliveries, market trends.
- Generate professional level quotes within 2 hours keeping in mind the following criteria to ensure a high level of customer service: takeoffs from drawings for weight calculations, item creation, fabrication cost determination, freight cost calculations, and determine lead times.
- Process orders for manufacture and shipment daily by scheduling orders with Master Scheduler, obtaining credit release, and coordinating shipment.
- Work with Product Engineers as needed on special orders.
- Secure new product information and submit to production as needed.
- Monitor daily production versus promised delivery dates and work with Production Control team members to take appropriate measures if production is late.
- Enters, saves supporting documents, and maintains project and shipment data accurately in Oracle. Keeps all components of projects in sync as projects progress and ensure that the contribution forms in Oracle properly represent the project and monitors underlying sales and purchase orders so that revenue is recognized properly. Will review periodic progress billing for accuracy before invoicing the customer.
- Will be required to work outside of normal business hours, including the weekend, as needed to ensure high level of customer service and meet customer demands.
- Follow up on outstanding quotes to create purchase orders to accommodate production of finished goods. Will review order shortfalls with National Sales Manager and Master Production Scheduler, jointly deciding on appropriate action.
- Obtain information for processing new accounts, follow through processing and establishing credit.
- Manage customer claims and complaints timely, in adherence with internal procedures and Revenue Recognition controls.
- Prepare various reports as assigned.
- Minimum of High School Diploma; bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Work, Excel, Outlook) required
- Minimum of 5 years’ work-related experience
- Ability to work off hours and weekends as needed
