About the Position: The intent of Inside Sales is to use professionals to establish and strengthen relationships with prospects, leads and existing customers to maintain and grow sales with the use of technology, but the core principles of personal relationships are still the same.
Task and Duties:
- Conducts inside sales activities, including prospecting (cold calls) and developing opportunities, closing sales, taking orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Nurture existing customer relationships to increase market share
- Maintain cooperative relationships with all necessary departments to ensure sales are generated and processed efficiently to achieve customer satisfaction as well as monthly sales goals
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Serve as liaison between customers and branches to effectively solve problems and increase sales
- Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs.
- Sell in both 1:1 and 1: many situations
- Identify challenges that clients and prospects are facing and make action plans to address them
- Communicate with decision makers (typically Director level+)
- Help create and improve email templates, excel reports and sequences
- Updates and maintain the sales CRM database
- Provide a high degree of major account management and control
- In-depth knowledge of a company's products and/or services
- Make a minimum of 30+ productive calls (does not include follow ups) each day
- Each Monday, support Call Center by answering inbound customer service phone calls, taking orders, answering questions, and resolving customer issues.
- Promote culture focused on world-class customer service, building customer trust, and taking ownership of all customer issues
- Assists sales management in conveying customer needs to district managers and technical support staff
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities and training
- Utilize apartment management software for processing of invoices and bid opportunities.
- Review of vendor agreements as well as other apartment management contracts
- Provide daily reports for select customers
- Other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- 5 years of customer service experience meeting sales goals or 2 years in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred
- Effective customer relation skills
- Excellent listener and demonstrates emotional intelligence with customer and peers
- Team oriented, yet able to work well independently
- Driven, results oriented and energetic person with strong work ethic
- Strong negotiation, organizational, closing and prospecting skills
- Deadline focused
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- History of success
- Strong computer skills including data entry, proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software such as ZOHO
