We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative at Restoration Forest Products, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients. Your role will involve understanding their needs, recommending suitable wood products, and ensuring a smooth purchasing experience. Your enthusiasm for our unique offerings and your customer-focused approach will be instrumental in driving sales and fostering long-term relationships. This job is not remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Interact with customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to understand their project requirements and provide product information.
- Occasional onsite local customer visits.
- Assist clients in selecting the appropriate products, considering their design preferences and project specifications.
- Order Processing and Documentation:
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, entering details into the company's sales system.
- Generate quotes, invoices, and sales contracts following company guidelines and pricing structures.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, orders, and communications in QuickBooks and the CRM system.
- Product Knowledge and Consultation:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our wood products, including their history, characteristics, and applications.
- Educate clients about the unique features and sustainability benefits of our offerings, enhancing their buying experience.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring their needs are met and questions are resolved.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, logistics, and inventory, to ensure smooth order processing and timely deliveries.
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the outside sales team to provide assistance in lead follow-up, order coordination, and customer communication.
- Provide sales representatives with necessary information to enhance their interactions with clients and optimize the sales process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Sales/Business Development experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in inside forest products &/or building materials sales, customer service, or a related field is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with customers and team members.
- Detail-oriented approach to order processing and documentation.
- Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, & PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Positive attitude, customer-focused mindset, and willingness to learn.
- Passion for sustainable practices and an appreciation for wood products is a plus.
