About the Role
Packsize is looking for an individual that has a passion for working directly with businesses. Listening and understanding the needs of different teams within the customer environment that range from packaging machine operators to C-level executives. Understanding that every account is unique and will need to have creative solutions provided to maintain and grow the account base.
As an Inside Sales Manager, you will have an account portfolio that focuses on small to medium-sized businesses. Packsize has the ability to scale and can shift from a manual packaging operation to a fully automated solution. This includes having access to products and a support structure that will allow you to overachieve on an uncapped commission structure.
Packsize utilizes various programs to manage the business. Experience using these or similar programs Salesforce.com. Excel, Word, Domo, Google Docs, Gmail, and PowerPoint, will be beneficial. There is a mentor system that will focus on understanding Packsize and how we go to market.
NOTE: This role is remote, however we are only accepting candidates in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.
What you'll do
- Deliver growth, revenue, and profitability targets
- Support the creation of proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and implement contractual agreements with accountability for delivering financial results
- Partner with Enterprise Account Managers and focus on supporting and expanding
- Partner internally with credit, operations, advanced products, and services. Utilize relationships to resolve customer challenges and questions quickly.
- Develops business relationships and links customers to the appropriate sales resources for business opportunities.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
- Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Quantify and review customer success criteria include process and flow improvement-related categories.
- An outward mindset that focuses on partners and customers first
- Utilizing tools like MS Office, Gmail, salesforce to deliver results
- Knowledge of Packaging Designs
- Learn technical skills necessary to perform high-quality maintenance
- Installation of new equipment and training customer personnel
- Basic administration duties (assigned tasks, emails, expense statements, travel arrangements, etc.)
What you'll bring
- Be able to navigate internal resources and align partners to provide the best customer experience
- The ability to assess a customer environment and provide solutions that are consistent with a continuous improvement view
- Demonstrating that you have been in a goal-oriented environment and had success
- Previous experience in an environment that uses a diagnostic approach to understand customers’ current state will greatly benefit your ability to create solutions for customers
- Working remotely and utilizing phone, video conferencing, PowerPoint, Excel, and other tools to drive conversations and achieve goals
- Professional presence with partners and customers
- Knowledge of “Mastering the Complex Sale” by Jeff Thull or similar sales philosophy.
Highly Desirable (First Priority) Qualifications:
- B2B sales experience in the packaging/manufacturing industries
- Previous experience working with midwest territories
Experience and Education Required:
- Successful track record in account management or customer service
- Professional presence on phone, video, and some customer-facing interactions
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Gmail, google docs, Salesforce, or similar programs
- Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience
Working Environment and Physical Demands
The following are representative of the typical working environment and physical demands of this position. To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, you will be required to:
- Ability to travel as needed, this could be a few times per year
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Access to work from a home office that will be used for video conferencing
What We Offer
The salary for this role is $75,000 USD; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
