Inside Sales Executive - Staffing Resources

About the Job
The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and selling membership investments in the Organization to prospective businesses, organizations, and individuals, as well as selling related Organization programs and services. The Account Executive also has primary responsibilities for 1st and 2nd year membership renewals through assigned accounts. Additional responsibility includes support of Organization activities and programs and supporting the events of the Organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate leads by identifying prospective businesses, organizations or associations and individuals who would benefit from investing as members of the Organization
- Develop, implement, and maintain a personal sales action plan
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned member accounts
- Schedule business development appointments with current and prospective members
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Chairman’s Cabinet members
- Remains informed of member benefits, Organization events, etc
- Conduct ongoing assessment of larger employer business expansion needs
- Organize value-added sales opportunities for members to increase interaction & strengthen relationships within group
- Develop 90-Day Member Engagement Plan for all new member activities
- Promptly submit membership applications and payment
- Ensure that information on leads and new members is accurately documented in database
- Achieve or exceed sales goals established by Director of Business Development
- Complete all paperwork and reports accurately, fully and in a timely manner
- Retain 70% of 1st year members sold and 80% of 2nd year+ sold
- Work with other staff members to create additional recognition opportunities for members
- Position will be remote but requires at least 2 days in the office during the week
- Attend Monday morning staff meetings in person
- Attend all Networking events to include Power Networking Lunches, After Hours, Women Connect and all Hallmark Events for support of the Director of Events (includes some evening and early morning events)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of a two-year post-secondary degree, plus proven sales experience, and effectiveness
- Experience in a modern business environment preferred
- Knowledge of contemporary business communication, including style and format of letters, memoranda
- Strong organization, time management, multi-tasking skills, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong public speaking skills and comfort in front of varied audiences
- Proven proficiency to effectively network for prospect generation
- Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages
- Ability to learn new, customized computer software
- Excellent listening and customer service skills
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
- Successful experience building partnerships with multiple organizations
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills
- Self-Starter with professional appearance and demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for sales calls
- Acceptable driving record is required
- Applicant must submit to pre-employment drug, alcohol, and skills testing
Credentials and Experience:
- Two-year post-secondary degree and
- Two years of proven sales experience
- Experience in modern business environment
