About the Job
Title: Inside Sales Coordinator
Mission: The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that customers are supported in a professional and efficient manner and in accordance with company's sales processes and practices. This position requires a proactive, motivated, knowledgeable and detail oriented individual who is able to act as liaison between the Business Development Managers, customers and co-workers.
Responsibilities/Activities:
- Process customer requests for quotations requiring standard product in the system within 24-48 hours
- Prepare sample requests adhering to sample procedure based on availability or standard sample lead times.
- Provide knowledgeable responses to customer inquiries and communications in a timely manner, usually within 24 hours.
- Direct interaction daily with both internal and external customers, along with various manufacturing sites and BDM's.
- Review customer blanket purchase orders when issued for accuracy, adhering to the Contract Review process. (When
- Necessary)
- Direct account support for the business development managers when necessary.
- Work closely with business development managers to process requests for quotations for nonstandard products in the system according to the written procedure.
- Perform detailed account analysis for the business development managers when necessary.
- Support business development managers with special projects, trade shows, samples, literature, presentations and tech shows as necessary.
- Create and maintain customer files.
- Backup and/or assist order entry Team as required.
- Assist in training new personnel as required.
- Travel may be required occasionally to visit customers, attend trade shows, visit manufacturing sites, attend company events, etc.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills, both verbal and written to present facts and information to business development managers, management and customers.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload while working with multiple accounts / business development managers.
- Proven ability to problem solve, reason and think critically.
- Self-starter, ability to take initiative and work independently within the parameters of the duties required.
- Proficient in developing strong working relationship with assigned customers in order to act as direct account support in the absence of the business development manager
- Strong mathematical proficiency (detailed margin analysis, unit conversion-weight, length, currency).
- Detect program trends, increased requests for major and new programs to assist business development manager with decision making and analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
- Customer focused, both internal and external.
- Develop Strong Relationships with internal departments and manufacturing sites.
- Excellent organizational skills with regards to electronic and physical data storage to maintain data and documentation.

- Preferences:
- Business College degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Industrial inside sales and/or sales support function (preferred)
- Industrial /Distribution experience is also beneficial.
- Experience and/or exposure to reading blueprints and specifications.
- Knowledge of corrugated plastic tubing, Textile Sleeving, Automation Protection, and Cable Glands (preferred).
- Intermediate knowledge of Google & Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with custom software applications.
Work Environment:
- Office Environment -- Sitting is required approximately 80% of the time, standing/walking is required approximately 20% of the time
- Required to report onsite daily (Monday - Friday) and work from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 1 hour lunch
