We are doing some exciting things with a company in Tipton, IN seeking an Inside Sales Associate to support their sales team. In this critical role you will work with the sales team to develop quotes and sales contracts and, as needed, you will work with vendors to source products to fulfill sales commitments.
To be considered you MUST have experience in metals, so please be sure to highlight your metals industry experience.
65%-75% of your time will be spent supporting the sales team, and 35%-25% of your time will be working with vendors and the company's production team to procure products that are specialty and not in stock.

As the Inside Sales Associate you will have the following responsibilities:
- Sales Support: Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders within budgetary limits and scope of authority.
- Customer Management: Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Vendor Communication: Perform research and communicate with vendors and suppliers to find the best goods and services to meet contract requirements.
- Relationship Building: Establish and develop good working relationships with customers, sales team, vendors, and suppliers.
- Procure Goods and Services: When a sale requires it, you will create purchase orders and procure company goods and services based on an approved budget
- Record Keeping: Maintain a detailed database of invoices, purchase orders, quote requests, vendor or supplier contracts, and update it as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased goods and services meet company standards and comply with relevant federal or state laws.
- Reporting: Create monthly and annual sales and purchase reports for management review.
Requirements for the Inside Sales Associate:
- High school or GED with minimum of 3 years’ experience sales or metal materials experience.
- Excellent knowledge of financial best practices and the buying process.
- Working knowledge of procurement management software.
- Ability to create strong working relationships with personnel, customers, suppliers, and management.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
