SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The IOT Inside Sales candidate will be proficient in managing telephone and computer work with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and communication skills. You will provide support for IoT-related products in the centrifugal pump market, coordinating with various departments such as sales, accounting, operations, shipping, and engineering. You should be technically adept in mechanical, electrical, and software aspects of the product line, with experience in diesel engines, pumps, electric motors, SCADA, and/or telemetry being advantageous. The primary responsibilities include supporting the IoT team and customer sales efforts, solving customer problems, and processing orders and quotes efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write and input general sales quotes and sales orders
- Write and document specific and technical sales quotations, technical sales orders, general sales correspondence, and specific sales correspondence
- Interface daily between our Engineering/Sales staff and Operations
- Assist and support customers with technical questions related to software, electrical, and mechanical components within and surrounding our system and products
- Learn, understand, interpret, and practically apply technical pump information (BOM, Pump Curves, and Dimensions)
- Learn to work in a cross-functional team consisting of Sales, Engineering, Production, Shipping, and Finance. Provide dealer, end user, and sales staff training in product application and maintenance
- Knowledge of product lines, marketplace, requirements, customer trends, and applicable industry standards
- Learn to investigate to determine the causes of reported field problems with products, including warranty requests for failed products. Support customers through the return process
- Opportunity to visit with customers directly, and attend tradeshows, and educational conferences
- Respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business needs
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent Knowledge and experience with PC and web-based programs
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Experience and knowledge of electronics and mechanical equipment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and/or 1-5 years of industry experience
