About the Role

An established automotive parts manufacturer seeks an experienced Injection Mold Technical Supervisor to lead daily molding operations. This position is integral to achieving production goals by overseeing the quality, efficiency, and safety of the injection molding department. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in injection molding, experience in automotive manufacturing, and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that production, quality, and cost targets are met consistently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S standards across the production floor.
• Monitor labor and machine efficiency, providing reports to management.
• Conduct performance evaluations for Production Supervisors and mentor Team Leaders and Technicians.
• Resolve production-related issues proactively and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee adherence to quality control standards, promoting a reputation for high-quality products.
• Support training and development programs for production staff on technical and leadership skills.
• Facilitate a safe working environment, manage emergency protocols, and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and contribute to plant profitability.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience:
  • Recent experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong injection molding experience, with a background in new program launches.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and budgetary controls.
  • Ability to motivate teams, delegate effectively, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and organizational skills.
