Responsibilities:
As an Infusion RN, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Administering infusion treatments, including chemotherapy and biotherapy, to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
2. Monitoring patients throughout treatment, assessing their condition, and responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
3. Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
4. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
5. Maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records, and ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely, efficient manner.
6. Adhering to all safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.
7. Participating in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with the latest advancements in infusion therapy.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
2. Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with specific experience in infusion therapy.
3. Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
5. Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care, with a strong focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Experience with chemotherapy administration is highly preferred.
