The Infrastructure Group Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, management, and support of the UNIX and Windows server environments. This role leads the 24x7 global team that monitors, resolves and executes an average of 65,000 Incident tickets and 8000 change tasks a month all while ensuring the safety and soundness of the infrastructure they support (~160,000 servers). This role includes supervising a team of Level 2 system administrators, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance, and coordinating with other IT teams to support the overall IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
+ Team Management : Lead and manage a team of Level 2 system administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
+ System Administration : Oversee the administration of UNIX (e.g., Linux, Solaris) and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
+ Incident and Problem Management : Manage and resolve escalated incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
+ Maintenance and Upgrades : Plan and oversee system maintenance activities, including patch management, software updates, and hardware upgrades.
+ Monitoring and Reporting : Implement and maintain monitoring systems to track server performance, availability, and security; generate and review regular reports.
+ Security Management : Ensure servers are secure and comply with organizational

+ Compliance : Ensure systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in UNIX and Windows system administration.
+ At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
+ Proficiency in UNIX (Linux, Solaris) and Windows server environments.
+ Experience with system monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
+ Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
+ Understanding of network protocols, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
+ Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (related field), or equivalent experience.
