Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor

- Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions. Leads the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions. Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc. May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise. Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems. May serve as the primary contact for vendors. Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments.
- The Infrastructure Engineer Senior Advisor serves in providing advanced/escalated technical support for critical infrastructure services and components across the enterprise. This includes Product and Application knowledge of troubleshooting, performance analysis, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement.
Skills:
Core Competencies:
- Experience in one or more of the following technologies:
- File Transfer Protocols: HTTPS, FTP, SSH/SFTP, AS2, AS3
- Connect: Direct, Connect: Direct Secure+ (Plus)
- NIST & FIPS compliant Security/Encryption Protocols: AES, PGP, SSL/TLS, etc.
- SQL and Oracle knowledge/proficiency (Plus)
- Experience in one or more of the following tools/software:
- IBM Sterling {B2B} File Gateway and Dashboard
- IBM Global Mailbox
- MS Office; including MS Access
- SQL Developer (Plus)
- General understanding of one or more of the following operating systems:
- Windows
- Unix
- Linux (RedHat a plus)
- Communicating with multiple areas within IT and some business areas with professional and positive attitude
- Strong customer service and customer support skills with the ability to communicate difficult technical concepts clearly to a variety of individuals of varying technical expertise and understanding.
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks

- Minimum Associates degree REQUIRED w/experience in Computer Science or Information Management
- 5+ Years Experience in data movement/file transfer process, preferably in the Healthcare Industry
