Infrastructure Engineer - Senior - Remote Contract - Contract - TalentBurst, Inc.

The Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) organization is the central hub of lifecycle engineering at our client, responsible for delivering, maintaining, and optimizing our technology portfolio on a cloud scale. We are a service-oriented team dedicated to providing exceptional experiences to thousands of client associates, business partners, and application delivery teams across the portfolio. As a Senior Database Administrator supporting the Core MSSQL Platform, you will be part of an Agile Team working with Architects, Developers, and Operations to deliver standards and best practices across MSSQL platforms.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the Microsoft SQL Server Platform and SQL Databases.

- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, plus a minimum of 8+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

- At least eight (8) years of experience in the following areas (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Engineering Microsoft SQL platforms.

- Developing new features and services of low to medium complexity in collaboration with product, platform, infrastructure, and security teams.

- Creating Runbooks, Standard Operating Processes, and conducting knowledge transfers to Operation Teams and Contractors.

- Delivering clean, secure, and performant solutions and technology components that meet all non-functional requirements.

- Acting as a Lead Engineer for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues.

- Adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley compliance).

- Leading and participating in the development of process definitions, best practices, and standards.

- Identifying emerging technologies for consideration in modern technology directions and implementing proof of concepts to validate these technologies.

- At least five (5) years of experience in the following areas (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripting/coding languages such as Transact-SQL (T-SQL), Python, and PowerShell.

- Applications, with experience using Ansible, GitHub, Control-M, Jira, and Confluence.

- Developing technical application and service roadmaps, including recommending and initiating IT-driven projects.

- Providing technical subject matter expertise and insights related to business applications.
