Nature and Scope of Job
USDM is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support USDM clients on a variety of initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft Windows Active Directory – User and group management, Network Services, File Services, Interoperability with M365 Environment.

- Create and manage Azure applications and access.

- Administer Okta SSO environment and interoperability with business applications, including authentication and security.

- Design and implement LAN and WAN networks to support future expansion of the network.

- Configure and support PaloAlto firewalls, including security and NAT policies, WAN, and VPN configuration.

- Manage VMWare and Nutanix environments – functionality, maintenance, optimization, and hardening.

- Collaborate with the Director of Cyber Security to implement network and application security hardening and monitoring.

- Manage on-premises and cloud backup solutions.

- Implement and manage Enterprise Wi-Fi.

- Configure and support Microsoft 365 technologies including Azure / Entra, Intune.

- Patch and update all on-prem infrastructure hardware across the enterprise.

- Act as level 3 support on Service Desk escalated issues impacting end-user services and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with configuration of video conference equipment for Zoom rooms including Poly and Shure devices.
Qualifications
- Expert-level knowledge of configuring and maintaining Okta.

- Experience programming, configuring and maintaining Meraki, Dell, and Brocade switches, Meraki and Ubiquity Wi-Fi solutions, PaloAlto firewalls, Prisma Access, Global Protect VPN.

- PaloAlto certification strongly preferred.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft ADS, VMWare ESX and Nutanix virtualization technologies, SQL Server, Terminal Services.

- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network services such as DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, RADIUS, ACLs, NAT, VDI, etc.

- Experience with network and endpoint management and security solutions including Intune, Manage Engine, Lansweeper, TeamViewer, PRTG, Rapid 7, anti-virus.

- Expert troubleshooting skills including ability to use Wireshark.

- Be able to lift and move existing and new system components (i.e., Servers, Printers, Switches, etc.)

- Availability evenings and weekends for projects and mission-critical issues.

- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

- Strong Interpersonal and Communication (oral and written) skills.

- Works on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry with validated systems and change control is strongly preferred.
Education & Certification s
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology and a minimum of 10 years related corporate experience.

- Minimum current CCNA certification required, CCNP strongly preferred.

Compensation
Salary/Hourly Rate Range (W2): USD 65.00 - 75.00
The base salary/hourly rate range represents the anticipated low and high end of the USDM’s compensation range for this position. Actual salaries/hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on market survey data or budget.
Full-time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical care coverage.
Both full and part-time employees, who are at least 21 years of age, are eligible to participate in USDM's 401k plan. Full and part-time employees may be eligible for paid time off.
