- Design and Architect technology solutions for CM/WM/I&TS Infrastructure.
- Align with Application development architects to understand technology pain points to provide tactical and strategic solutions to solve business problems.
- Research and Development of new and disruptive technologies which can provide technological edge to the business.
- Survey the industry for different technology sectors, explain technical differentiation provided by different startups and vendors and be available as a trusted resource to Investment Bankers and the business.
- Provide architectural vision, strategy & roadmap and work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions.
- Take a lead in performing paper based and actual Proof of Concept (POC) studies on technologies in the lab by working with a virtual pool of technology specialists in various silos and integrate them together to solve business problems.
- Evangelize new technology solutions in the firm.
- Author and contribute towards "Position Papers on competing technologies
- Lead SWAT teams and provide solutions to ongoing and long standing production issues by working with production support, engineers and external vendors.
- Provide governance and guidance on best fit of technology to the user community.

- Assesses and analyze business strategy, requirements, current state environment and technology choices including evaluating solution alternatives that meet business sponsor needs
- Analyze the viability of solutions and also meet program timeline, budget and quality
- Plays the role of lead technical authority on projects and programs and is responsible for planning all activities leading to the development of the overall infrastructure solution architecture which Identifies technical issues and risk and defines mitigation approach
- Presents program solution architecture at the Architecture Review Board
- 10+ years in Systems Architecture or Engineering in a large scale Enterprise Organization.
- 5+ years' Network Engineering experience.
- Innate curiosity of new technologies.
- Experience in the Financial Services field is preferred.
- 5+ years engineering solutions on Redhat Linux. Solaris and Windows Server systems.
- RealTime and Low Latency Kernel and Operating System Expertise.
- Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP architecture and engineering.
- Proficient in Cisco Network Switches and Routers or equivalent.
- Strong Low latency kernel understanding and configuration knowledge
- Knowledge of Marketdata feeds and Low Latency Ticket Plant Technologies
- Interface directly with internal Application architects, application developers, Engineers and Operations staff.
- Interface with Vendor Product Management, CTO's, Chief Scientist and Research staff.
- Coordinate project work with other infrastructure teams
