As our Information Technology Support Specialist, your major responsibilities will include:
- Serving as primary contact for end user support, including Saturdays (on a rotating basis).
- Keeping detailed, accurate records of all work performed using designated tracking system, and communicating with end users on the status of their requests.
- Conducting initial diagnostic testing to determine source and scope of issues. Resolving or escalating issues as needed.
- Providing technical assistance for hardware, software, or communication problems encountered by end users or the technical support staff including remote workforce
- Monitoring, installing and making system updates/modifications for workstation, peripherals, and server applications.
- Coordinating with 3rd party and cloud providers as needed to resolve end users’ technical issues and providing support for maintaining systems provided by vendors.
- Researching, modifying, testing, and installing hardware and software additions or replacements for workstations and servers as required.
- Working with other IT personnel and network security providers to ensure the information security of servers, workstations and perimeter security.
- Consistently providing exceptional customer service and support to internal and external customers using the Credit Union’s service model.
- Monitoring and making the required updates and modifications to keep the Credit Union system current with new technological changes, including security patches, anti-virus definitions and email and laptop encryption.
- Ensuring good technical troubleshooting skills and a moderate ability to grasp the more technical aspects of networks and systems.
Our ideal candidate will have two to five years of similar or related experience. Knowledge of data communications and cloud hosted systems. Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment. Must have good communication skills. Diagnostic and maintenance abilities with PC hardware, software and local area networks. Proficient in using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of VMWARE server virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Backup utilities.
Pay Range: $34.70 - $43.40; based on skills and experience.
