What We Are Looking For
The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager oversees all aspects of technology projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion. Responsibilities include managing scope, cost, schedule, staffing, vendors, and deliverables. Key duties involve developing detailed project plans, monitoring milestones, generating status reports, evaluating and managing risks, and incorporating quality standards into deliverables. The IT Project Manager assists department leadership in planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of project management for current and future SACH technology projects and clinics. This role requires interfacing with technology users, employing tact and diplomacy to maintain a positive departmental image. The IT Project Manager adopts project management methodologies to resolve issues professionally. Travel and after-hours work may be required to meet with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel and provide support.
Schedule: 4 Days per Week, 10 Hours per Day, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm | Location: Hospitality Lane Administrative Offices, San Bernardino, CA
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES
- The Project Manager is responsible for delivering service excellence utilizing people, processes, and technology on all projects.
- Initiates, plans, executes, controls, and closes projects according to the established Project Management Methodology to ensure project meets or exceeds timeline, budget and quality expectations, conduct quality assurance on all project deliverables.
- Facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams, coordinate resource allocation, and develop detailed project plans for monitoring progress.
- Works with Business Owners to define the project's objectives, oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, and coordinate efforts with team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
- Interacts regularly with project leadership, senior management, and key stakeholders.
- Makes management presentations, submits reports, and conducts feasibility studies for building codes and IT requirements for new clinic / office sites.
- Analyze data, interpret processes and needs, organize work and resources, define problems and solutions, and make recommendations
- Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scopes of work, reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.
- Assist the IT Director / CIO on negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to procure products and services.
- Create and communicate project plans, schedules, budgets, and assign tasks and deadlines to partners or teams, including scheduling frequent check-ins.
- Clear roadblocks, escalate challenges when necessary, and provide status reports and support documentation during all elements of the project.
- Ensure projects are delivered on-time, meeting quality standards, and proactively address potential risks, malfunctions, or impediments.
- Work in tandem with key stakeholders, management, and customers/end-users.
- Design product development "sprints," meet regularly with team members to maintain focus and direction toward achieving defined goals, and manage post-launch activities
including measuring KPIs, testing, implementing product revisions as necessary, and prepare post-mortem reports for project closure. - Other duties as listed in the official job description.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid CA Driver's License and auto insurance. PMP and Six Sigma are preferred.
- Experience: Five (5) years of IT experience with a minimum of two (2) years as a Project Manager or supervisor capacity required. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Strong technical aptitude in understanding and coordinating the implementation of various IT systems and solutions. Additionally, excellent motor skills are essential for navigating project management software and collaborating with technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of IS/IT projects.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and collaboration are paramount to interacting with diverse stakeholders including technical teams, clients, and management. They should possess strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide team members throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills are crucial for navigating project complexities and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Essential Mental Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements and make data-driven decisions. They should demonstrate critical thinking abilities to troubleshoot issues and devise effective solutions during project execution. Additionally, adaptability and strategic thinking are essential for managing changing project dynamics and aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals.
