Information Technology Project Manager at Kavaliro

Position Overview:

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing technology projects from initiation to completion. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that align with organizational objectives, meet deadlines, and stay within budget. The candidate must have strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in managing complex IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management.

Lead project teams through all phases, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.

Coordinate communication between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and external vendors.

Monitor project performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.

Prepare and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders and leadership.

Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Proven experience managing IT projects with a focus on software development, infrastructure, or system implementations.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.

Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar software.

Experience in risk management and change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, ITIL).

Experience working in industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology.

Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, or emerging IT technologies.
