INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – PROGRAMMER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Multiple years of direct experience in enterprise-level application development and support.
- Proven experience in full stack software development, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture using PHP.
- Strong experience writing SQL queries and version control systems.
- Strong experience with database platforms, including Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres.
- Maintain high standards of data quality through the introduction and enforcement of information handling processes.
- Hands on experience with technical requirements analysis, process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping.
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices methodology.
- Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
- Working technical experience with developing, installing, configuring and supporting web applications for the front end as well as back end systems.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Technology
JOB GOAL: The Programmer’s role is to support existing applications and develop new applications based on district needs. This individual will work with many departments and provide programmatic solutions as new education and business needs arise. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of coding best practices are critical to successful performance in this role. This is a highly technical position and as such a desire for continual learning is a must. A person with high attention to detail and a logical mindset with strong motivation and passion for technology would be a great candidate.

- Work with leadership and developers to ensure that data entry, retrieval, change and delete functions meet business requirements for project completion.
- Lead in data integrations with various systems that are utilized.
- Identify data entry, retrieval, change, and delete issues, and work to ensure a high level of data availability.
- Identify inefficiencies in current systems and leverage solutions.
- Provide support and troubleshooting on existing systems as well as documentation of various operations.
- Install and configure relevant components to ensure secure and successful data integrations.
- Analyze user requirements and based on findings, help design applications to support various business use case scenarios.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual who holds this position must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
