Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a senior level Information Technology (IT) Operations Manager to lead and manage our client’s IT infrastructure needs. The responsibilities for this position include:
- Ensure all tasks and projects are appropriately assigned and prioritized based on the nature of the action, needs of the program, or guidance from Peraton Management.
- Assists in planning of projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of the team.
- Provides leadership, assistance and work guidance to less experienced technicians and administrators.
- Work with IT Support Technicians to support the end users as needed.
- Maintains warranty information; ensure that the infrastructure systems are monitored with regards to warranty status.
- Ensures the timely resolution of hardware and software problems associated with the data and voice network.
- Identifies and evaluates new products / services that would allow the team to provide improved services to our customers.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd Tier hardware and software support for end-users.
- Manage after-hours support for planned maintenance, updates to technology, hardware and software changes during non-business production hours.
- Perform On-Call Emergency support service.
- Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Required QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and 12 years of experience.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in the management of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the physical network (e.g., LANs/WANs, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software.
- 8 or more years’ experience managing a team of technical professionals in an IT service desk-oriented environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or Mathematics and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in network administration to include the design, engineering, technical documentation, implementation, troubleshooting, and repair of network systems (routing, switching, firewall and voice instruments).
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required
To hold this clearance.
