Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst with specialized experience in the oil and gas industry to join our team. This role is instrumental in supporting technology initiatives that optimize and enhance operations within refining, logistics, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of oil and gas processes and the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions that drive efficiencies and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Industry-Specific Requirements Gathering

  Collaborate with business units in refining, exploration, production, and logistics to capture and document complex industry-specific requirements, focusing on regulatory compliance, safety, and operational continuity.

  
  

• Technical Solution Design

  Work with developers, engineers, and IT teams to design and implement technology solutions tailored to the unique demands of the oil and gas industry, such as asset management, supply chain optimization, and risk management.

  
  

• Stakeholder Engagement in Oil & Gas

  Act as the primary IT liaison for business stakeholders, including plant managers, engineers, and field operators, ensuring clear communication of project goals, technical requirements, and system functionality.

  
  

• Process Optimization in Operations

  Leverage knowledge of oil and gas workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements, data integration, and automation, improving efficiency in areas like asset maintenance, drilling operations, and refinery management.

  
  

• Documentation & Compliance Reporting

  Create and maintain documentation tailored to the oil and gas sector, including technical specifications, process flows, and regulatory compliance reports for audits and safety inspections.

  
  

• Testing & System Validation

  Conduct thorough testing and validation for systems related to production, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring solutions meet rigorous industry standards and support operational objectives.

  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a minimum of 2 years supporting oil and gas operations, preferably in refining, exploration, or distribution.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas industry regulations, operational workflows, and technology needs.
• Proven ability to work with technical and field-based stakeholders to drive adoption of digital solutions.
