General Job Description: The IT Assistant Manager plays a supportive role in the smooth operation of the IT department at Hanwha Advanced Materials Texas, ensuring that both the technical infrastructure and the team are aligned with the organization’s goals. This position involves collaborating closely with the IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day technical operations, providing technical support, implementing, and maintaining IT policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
•Assists IT Manager by performing related duties.
•Aids in developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
•In a timely manner, respond to user requests by providing first level technical and functional support including ERP, MES, and WMS system, cloud-based applications, the MS Office Suite of applications, the Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, and computer and peripheral components.
•Serve as escalation point for IT troubleshooting, including laptop repairs, email and mobile device support, conference room setup, hardware and networking equipment diagnostics, and software and applications support.
•Implement and enforce network hardening measures to protect against potential cyber threats and reinforce data protection.
•Monitor and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems in coordination with IT Manager and headquarters.
•Monitor SAP, MES, and WMS software functionalities.
•Ensure the integrity of and accuracy of the SAP, MES, and WMS Systems.
•Report and troubleshoot any technical issues in SAP by working with IT Manager and HQ Team.
•Ensure that hardware and software components are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
•Ensure company data security and protection within all systems including the file servers.
•Collaborate with all departments to understand their technological needs and provide appropriate solutions.
•Collaborate with vendors and service provides to ensure the procurement of necessary IT Equipment and Services.
•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
•Minimum of 5+ years of experience with systems and network administration, programming, and management.
•Good understanding of various network components including firewall, routers, switches, access points, etc.
•Experience in virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware) and cloud management.
•Good understanding of database management, with experience in SQL Server, Oracle, or MYSQL.
•Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, and time management skills.
•Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical components, both internal and external.
•Ability to work creatively and efficiently in a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
•The ability to work with components constantly along a production line without adverse effects.
•The ability to make timely decisions and provide feedback to each other.
•Have a strong desire for personal and professional development.
•Bilingual.
