Summary
At Precision Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team and help government agencies navigate the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats. In this role, you will consult with clients, uncover their cyber risks, and develop actionable mitigation plans to secure their critical systems. You’ll lead the discovery process, analyzing technical, environmental, and system details to assess potential risks. Working closely with system owners, engineers, and system administrators, you will provide a clear path forward by developing comprehensive plans of action and milestones.
Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery and assessment of cyber risks, working closely with clients to understand their specific challenges
- Analyze technical, environmental, and system details to provide an in-depth risk assessment
- Develop comprehensive mitigation strategies and plans of action, tailored to the client's needs
- Collaborate with system owners, engineers, and administrators to gather information and implement security measures
- Guide clients through the entire threat landscape, explaining complex security concepts in a clear and accessible way
- Oversee vulnerability management, risk assessments, and compliance with authorization requirements
- Support risk management efforts by monitoring, tracking, and ensuring successful completion of security-related tasks
- Provide leadership to both clients and internal teams, ensuring best practices are followed in risk and security management
Requirements
- 5+ years of relatable experience in cyber security is required
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53
- Experience using the Risk Information Security Compliance System (RISCS)
- Ability to lead teams of IT professionals and contribute individually
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to monitor and track multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
